Nite, DeStefano, Sampson play for UWF School of Music Nov. 13
Jon Nite, Chris DeStefano & Gordie Sampson will play a 7 p.m. show on Nov. 13 on the Flora-Bama’s Tent Stage to raise funds for the Larry Butler Memorial Fund at the UWF School of Music. Cover charge is $30 and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
DeStefano is a Grammy Award and three time CMA Triple Play Award winner, He has co-penned hit songs for artists like Carrie Underwood, Chris Young, Luke Bryan, Chase Rice, Rascal Flatts, Billy Currington and Miranda Lambert.
Nite has written 18 No.1’s with billions of streams in multiple genres. His songs have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Brandi Carlile, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney and many others. In 2019, he wrote the Grammy nominated “Break Up in the End” for Cole Swindell. His recent No.1s include: “I Hope” and “Pick Me Up” by Gabby Barrett, “Dancing in the Country” by Tyler Hubbard, “You Didn’t” and “Lady” by Brett Young, “Knocking Boots” by Luke Bryan, and “Living” by Dierks Bentley. He was the 2023 SESAC writer of the year.
Sampson’s song “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” was made famous by Carrie Underwood, earned a Grammy and launched his prolific career. His 400 cuts include hits for Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert and Luke Bryan.
