Nov. 21 Ride For The Fallen starts at The Office

he 12th Annual Ride For The Fallen will be held on Sunday, Nov. 21. The Poker Run, originally scheduled for Sept. 18, was postponed due to weather. The Poker Run will begin at 8 a.m. at The Office Lounge, located at 122 County Road 20 in Foley. Free biscuits and gravy will be served during sign up. Stops will include River Pub (7555 Riverview Lane, Bay Minette), Stock Tank (18457 Old Spanish Trail, Robertsdale), Alley Cat Alley (14835 AL-104, Silverhill), and the run will conclude back at The Office Lounge. Registration is $20, and additional hands are $10. First place prize for best hand is $100. Proceeds go to Canine Companions.
The ride is held in memory of Spc. Justin Coleman, the son of American Legion Post 99 Ladies Auxiliary member Penny Rauhuff. He was killed in action in Afghanistan on July 24, 2009 from wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit using small arms and rocket-propelled grenade fires. Spc. Coleman’s was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for his bravery.
