OBFD Capt. Kevin Lanford retires after 32 years service

After 32 years of dedicated service, Orange Beach Fire Dept. Capt. Kevin Lanford is hanging up his helmet. Throughout his career, he has been a mentor, leader, and friend to so many in the department and throughout the community. To mark this incredible milestone, Capt. Lanford climbed the Turquoise Tower one last time earlier this month. This time alongside his two sons, a moment that perfectly symbolizes his legacy of strength, dedication, and family. “Thank you, Capt. Lanford, for your three decades of dedicated service to the city. You will be missed. Best wishes for a happy and healthy retirement,’’ Orange Beach City Council posted.
