Operation Re-Connect celebration Sept. 11 on Wharf Main Street
Operation ReConnect, a Pleasure Island based nonprofit founded by local resident Ryan Charrier and operated and managed by current and former service-members, will be the focus of a 9-11 event at The Wharf; Main Street in Orange Beach on Saturday, September 11 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The fun, family friendly event celebrates those who protect our freedoms and features activities such as military vendors, meet-and-greet photo ops with local first responders, a kid-judged car show, helicopter displays, kids’ activities & games and live music.
Festivities include a patriotic themed motorcycle & Jeep beach cruise at noon beginning in the front parking lot of The Wharf. The cruise will be escorted by the Orange Beach Police Department. Registrations is $20 per vehicle.
All proceeds raised will go to Operation ReConnect to support military families and local, military-related nonprofit organizations whose mission is simple: Provide the gift of time to the men, women and their families who have dealt with the difficulties from an overseas combat deployment.
