The Optimist Club of Perdido Bay recently presented “Educator of the Year” awards to local teachers. From left are Optimist President Jeff Keener, Principal Dr. Kathy McCool and Cookie Krehling, St. Benedict Catholic School; JoAnn Pinkston, Elberta Elementary School; Morgan Plash, Elberta High School; Curriculum Leader Eugenia Robinson and Counselor Laura Alms, Elberta High School and Optimist Bob Pocreva. Each year the Optimist Club honors educators who “Bring Out the Best in Kids.”
