OWA Hosts First Responders Community Safety Day

OWA Hosts First Responders Community Safety Day
Downtown OWA in Foley, along with 13 local and state public safety departments, recently hosted a Community Safety Day. Highlights included Baldwin County EMA’s tornado machine, Lower Alabama Search and Rescue’s rappelling demonstrations, Foley Fire Department’s Smokehouse, Foley Police Department’s K-9 unit, and everyone’s favorite fire-preventing bear with the Forestry Commission. In addition to providing multiple live demonstrations and hands-on experiences, participating first raced down the streets in fun-filled Jumbo Tricycle Races starting at 5pm. Specific times for live demonstrations, activities and Park discounts can be found at VisitOWA.com/Community-Safety. For more info about the event and OWA, go to VisitOWA.com.
