Perdido Artist Gallery Donation To Wildlife Sanctuary

Perdido Artist Gallery Donation To Wildlife Sanctuary
The Perdido Artist Gallery & Gifts held a recent fundraising event for the Wildlife Sanctuary Of Northwest Florida. Located at 5660 Segura Ave., the gallery showcases artists from Innerarity, Perdido Key and surrounding areas. Participating artists decorated turtles and displayed them in the gallery and the public was invited to view the turtles, vote on their favorite and place bids. All turtles received votes and bids. William Johnson (Above) was the winning artist with the most votes for his turtle creation. The wildlife sanctuary provides a safe haven for injured and orphaned indigenous wildlife until they can be safely returned to the wild. They bring awareness to the public through tours, exhibits and lectures. The sanctuary has operated for 38 years and is primarily funded through individual donations from the public. All donations go to the care and housing of their wildlife patients. It was fun to see how each artist used their talents to bring the turtles to life. The art was enjoyed the many visitors and raised $2020. Gallery artists are already planning next year’s theme. A big thanks to all the generous people that made the event a success.
