Perdido Key Fishing Rodeo Oct. 2-4 at Entertainer Bait

Entertainer Bait & Tackle (13506 Perdido Key Dr.) will be the host & weigh-in site for the 3rd Annual Perdido Key Fishing Rodeo. Fishing opens Friday, Oct. 2 at midnight. Weigh-ins take place Saturday and Sunday from 2-5 p.m. For registration, sponsorship or rules info, call (850) 417-0588.
The rodeo is a multi-species recreational tourney with four inshore and four offshore divisions: speckled trout, redfish, mangrove snapper, flounder, red snapper, vermillion snapper, king mackere and Spanish mackerel.
A portion of the proceeds go to Operation Tackle Box Mission, a non-profit that helps veterans heal through fishing and outdoor activities while also helping vets gain access benefits to which they are entitled.
The group also takes veterans on camping trips, fishing tournaments and to fishing expos.
