Perdido Key Music Fest raises $20,210 for FBISF Foundation

This past May’s Second Annual Perdido Key Music Festival raised $20,210 for the Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival to continue the legacy of the event’s founder, Joe Gilchrist, who passed away earlier this year. All proceeds from PKMF 2022 will benefit the Frank Brown Music Foundation. That is in addition to $20,000 the event formerly known as HoodStock raised in 2021 for the foundation.
“This year’s festival was rocking with great local and regional talent, hosting 15 bands and over 50 songwriter/musicians. A very special thank you goes out to all the festival organizers, volunteers, musicians, engineers, sponsors, supporters, donors and those in attendance who helped make it happen again this year and make it such a special music event for Perdido Key,’’ said event founder/director Mark McBride, who hosted the fest at his Playa Del Rio RV Park.
The Perdido Key Music Festival always takes place in the spring and the Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival always takes place in November.
