PIMA Veteran’s Day Service planned June 14 at St. Andrew’s by the Sea

PIMA Veteran’s Day Service planned June 14 at St. Andrew’s by the Sea

In conjunction with the Pleasure Island Ministerial Assn., St. Andrew by the Sea in Gulf Shores will be holding an ecumenical worship service at 11 a.m. on June 14.
The service will also pay recognition to the U.S. Army in celebration of its 250th anniversary. Community leaders will also honor local veterans of the other branches and their families.
An important part of this observance will be the inclusion of stories from veterans. Another key part will be to thank veterans’ families, whose contributions often go unsung.
Feel inspired or encourage someone to feel inspired to submit, whether veteran or family member, a one or two paragraph story to assist this service. Send written submissions to sfranduto@gmail.com (American Legion post 44 chaplain) by Monday, June 9.
If you’re a vet or have a good story to tell about a vet, share that story. All submissions will be collected and printed, and many will be read at the service. St Andrew by the Sea is located at 17263 Fort Morgan Rd. in Gulf Shores.
