Sirens of the Sea planning their Annual drawdown fundraiser

Sirens of the Sea, a local women’s Mardi Gras Krewe, is making plans for their upcoming Fall Fundraiser, the 3rd Annual Football Tailgating Drawdown. It will be held at the Orange Beach Event Center at the Wharf on Friday September 20th from 6:00 pm until 10:30 pm.  The Drawdown promises to be a fun filled night.  The Drawdown Grand Prize is $5,000!  Super raffle items include a $500 gift certificate from Expedia Cruise Ship Center in Gulf Shores; and a private four-hour offshore fishing charter.  Regular raffle tickets for additional items are only $2 and will be available at the door, as well as from Sirens Members. A silent auction will have an array of items.
Live music will be presented by Jesse Duncan Music. They will light up the night playing rhythm and blues, soul, rock, and country.  Everyone is invited to come out and join the tailgating party. Don’t forget to wear your favorite NCAA College or NFL Pro Football team gear.
Ticket price is $50 and will be offered by all Sirens.  In August, tickets will be available at Diamond Jewelers in Gulf Shores; J&M Tackle in Orange Beach; and McClure’s New York Bagel & Sandwich Shoppe in Orange Beach.  For more information or tickets contact Linda Pacatte at 251-402-2218 or Judy Hamby 270-887-9691.

In previous years, Sirens have supported local charities such as Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center (CARE HOUSE); the local branch of the American Heart Association; Sea, Sand and Stars Science Center; Tim Tebow’s “Night to Shine”; and Mardi Gras activities.  Also, the annual Gail Pond Scholarship will be awarded to a local high school senior for college tuition.  This year’s recipients will be Expect Excellence, a City of Orange Beach After School Program; and Orange Beach Police K-9 Unit for dog body armor.
