St. Andrew Pre-School will open in Aug.
Thanks to community support, the St. Andrew Preschool will open in August. Director Kate Hall is happy to announce a waiting list for children 18 months through four years.
Blending the strengths of staff and the skills of community partners, the St. Andrew Preschool aims to provide a rich learning environment that will encourage children’s native curiosity and develop school readiness. It will work closely with Gulf Shores City Schools.
St. Andrew by the Sea is a multi-denominational church, and while its preschool will reflect broadly-shared values, all families, religious and nonreligious, will be welcome.
Initially the core hours will be 8:00-2:30, Monday through Friday. Extended care hours are being explored.
Tuition rates will soon be announced and official registration will begin. In the meantime, parents may speak directly with Kate Hall and put their children on a waiting list.
Kate is a passionate early childhood education professional with a deep commitment to nurturing young minds. Born in New Orleans, and raised in Mandeville, a suburb just north of the city, Kate’s early experiences shaped her belief in the power of emotional intelligence and empathy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Alabama.
In 2009, Kate moved to Gulf Shores to raise her children by the beach, where she has since become an integral part of her community. She served as the Assistant Director at Discovery Island, a state-licensed daycare in Orange Beach for 12 years, leaving only to pursue her master’s degree.
Kate’s philosophy centers around the idea that children may not remember every word spoken to them, but they will always remember how they were made to feel. Her approach focuses on helping children identify and manage their big emotions as they grow, while providing a safe and loving environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
Kate welcomes inquiries from parents. She may be reached at (251) 968-3900. For more information and continued updates, please visit standrewpreschoolgs.com.
