Three die in separate head-on collisions

Two people were killed Aug. 23 in a head-on collision on Alabama Highway 59 south of Stockton, around 54 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. And a day earlier, around 4:30 p.m., on Aug. 22, one woman died after a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe collided head-on with the 2016 Mazda CX-5 on Hwy. 287 five miles north of the Bay Minette. A Foley woman, Yolanda Butler, 43, a passenger in the Tahoe, succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased at North Baldwin Hospital.
In the Aug. 23 accident, the driver and passenger in a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze were fatally injured in the collision with a 2021 Lexus RX 350 driven by a 15-year-old juvenile. After the initial collision, the Cruze caught on fire and became totally engulfed in flames. Both the driver and passenger within the Cruze were pronounced deceased at the scene. The15-year-old and a 51 year old passenger in the Lexus were treated and released from the hospital.
