Toys For Tots Honors Taste Of The Island
On behalf of the Marine Corps League Detachment 1370, Bonnie Ribley presented the Mystics of Pleasure and the Krewe de Swan plaques of appreciation for support of the local Toys for Tots Campaign. The Mardi Gras organizations have partnered with the Marine Corps for the last four years. The Taste of the Island is held on the first Friday of December each year. It brings together the best local restaurants to provide a taste to attendees of their favorite dishes. The generous attendees bring to the event an unwrapped gift to contribute. Ms. Ribley reported that during the December 2024 campaign, 17,000 toys were provided to 5400 local children, which included over 20 bicycles. This year, The Taste of the Island will be held on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Orange Beach Event Center. Enjoy your evening sampling fare from local restaurants, drinks and dance the night away.
