EAA has restored — or built as kit planes — aircraft such as the Zodiac Light Sport aircraft currently being worked on and an RV-4. Additionally, Higdon will outline his mentoring activities with the students from the Gulf Shores High School’s class in aircraft assembly. This is a ‘hands-on’ program whereby students are actually fabricating a RV-12, a 100 HP kit plane that is being constructed from the ground up.
Last month’s meeting featured retired Lt. Gen. Janet Cobb, director of Battleship Park.
