“Becoming Alabama’’ lectures in Oct. at USA’s local campus

The University of South Alabama Gulf Coast Campus will host a series of lectures titled “Becoming Alabama” on Tuesdays, October 10, 17, and 24, from 1:30-3 p.m. at the USA-Gulf Coast Campus on County Road 6 in Gulf Shores.
This historical journey will cover Alabama’s early inhabitants, Spanish exploration, and French settlements. It will be presented by John Jackson, Director of Foley Public Library. The series is sponsored by USA’s Gulf Coast Campus and Center for Continuing Education to introduce their new institute-for-learning-in-retirement, Discover! An Adventure in Learning.
