G.S. city planner to speak at April 21 LLPS meeting

By Karen Pera
Little Lagoon Preservation Society (LLPS) will host our next member meeting on April 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Gulf Shores Activity Center. Andy Bauer, planning director for the City of Gulf Shores, will talk about wetland and shoreline related ordinances, storm water management related to growth and progressive new ordinances such as the new tree ordinance and red clay ordinance. The first half hour is for snacks and social mingling before the program kicks off at 6 p.m.
There has been considerable public interest in the Baldwin County Sewer Service (BCSS) on Fort Morgan Road and their application to increase their output of sewage at the plant. Our member meeting will include a brief overview, update, and discussion on the status of this issue. LLPS was instrumental in bringing this about and would like all those concerned about this issue to attend the public hearing on May 19.
