Lemonade Day Open To Students K Thru 5th Grade
Lemonade Day, a free educational program open to students K thru 5th grade, is returning to Coastal Alabama on May 7. Students in Foley, Gulf Shores, & Orange Beach are eligible to participate, an d workshops are scheduled March 19 & 26. A nationwide program based out of Houston, Texas, Lemonade Day first came to Coastal Alabama in 2018. Initially for Orange Beach & Gulf Shores students, the program expanded to Foley in 2021 and became a joint effort between the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber & South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce. The team had a lifeguard theme and were set up at the Flora-Bama Yacht Club; The duo of Aloha Ade getting a pirate ship pass-by while set up at the Bear Point boat launch in 2021. The March 19 recipe development workshop is at the Gulf Coast Culinary Institute and the MNarch 26 stand building workshop is at RE/MAX Gulf Shores.
