Organizer Vicky Norris is making it easy for participants to join the fun at the March 2 Elberta Mardi Gras Parade. There is no entry fee and pre-registration is not necessary for the parade that will start at the town park on Illinois St., roll south on Illinois to Hwy. 98, then head east on Hwy. 98 to Wisconsin St., north on Wisconsin to Pine St. and west on Pine back to Elberta City Park.
Line-up at 2 p.m. and the parade rolls at 2:30 p.m. The parade featured 20 floats last year.
“It’s a fun little jaunt and we always have a a good time,’’ Norris said. “There is no entry fee and the more the merrier is the way we roll. There are not cut-off dates. If people show up wanting to parade, we will get them in.’’
