Parent meeting for new P.I. Storm Volleyball Oct. 29

For years, Pleasure Island Volleyball and Mobile Storm Volleyball have collaborated with tournaments, camps, and player development. So it was a smooth transition when the two vaunted programs merged to form the Pleasure Island Storm Volleyball, a satellite program of Storm Volleyball.
“We are dedicated to training young athletes to the highest levels along the Gulf Coast,’’ said Shawn Weaver, Pleasure Island Storm director.
A parent/players informational meeting will be held on Oct. 29 from 10-11 a.m. at the Gulf Shores Middle Cafeteria to present everything Storm Volleyball has to offer for our area.
Storm Volleyball will provide training for all ages and all levels and regional, power and elite teams for ages 12 and up. The program will also coordinate strength and conditioning training with Results Fitness.
The Island Fall Academy for 4th grade and up will start on Nov. 1, and the Youth Academy for 2nd grade and up begins Dec. 1. A 5th grade program will start in January.
