Tickets on sale for Nov. 3-4 Hangout Oyster Cook-Off

Sample over 100 oyster recipes or indulge in the largest curated selection of farmed oysters from all over North America during the Hangout Oyster Cook-Off & Craft Beer Weekend scheduled Nov. 3-4 at Gulf Shores Public Beach. Starting at 11 a.m. on Nov. 4, patrons can sample over 100 oyster recipes or indulge in the largest curated selection of farmed oysters from all over North America. Admission to Saturday’s celebration is $10 (free for children 12 & under). Pre-sale tasting ticket booklets are an additional $25 for 15 tickets. A VIP option is also available for $150. The weekend begins on Nov. 3, with Craft Beer Friday featuring tastings from upwards of 20 craft breweries and live music.
Celebrities and James Beard Award winning chefs will be demonstrating recipes and cooking techniques. Featured restaurants will be serving up Rockefeller, Gulf Coast Cajun and Raw Oysters for everyone to taste all day Saturday.
Top visiting chefs hoping to break the stranglehold local restaurants have had thoughout the festival’s 10 year history include Rob McDaniel (SpringHouse), Derek Emerson (Walker’s Drive-In), Brian Canipelli (Cucina 24), and Erik Niel (Easy Bistro & Bar). The Chef Demo stage is hosted by Alabama’s very own Food Network Star, Martie Duncan.
