Tour de (Orange) Beach Sept. 17-18
400 cyclists will ride toward a world free of MS

Hundreds of cyclists are hoping to raise $215,000 to stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever at Bike MS: Tour de Beach Sept. 17-18. Each morning, cyclists will start from Orange Beach and ride 25, 45 or 75 miles. All routes are well supported with fully-stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles and safety provided by medical personnel, HAM radio operators, law enforcement and motorcycle escorts. Rides will begin and end at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Orange Beach. Visit bikeMS.org, call 205-451-7475 or email Jennifer.Ely@nmss.org to register.
“With rest stops at landmarks like Mullet Point Park and historic Fort Morgan, Tour de Beach truly takes advantage of all this wonderful community has to offer,” said Jennifer Ely, Director of Development and Bike MS Manager.
The weekend-long celebration begins Friday evening with the Waterfront Welcome Party at the ride’s host hotel, The Hampton Inn. Cyclists are invited to pick up their packet and enjoy cocktails on the beach. After the ride, riders and volunteers can relax beachfront in the Bike MS lounge with massages and lunch. Saturday night, cyclists and their families will enjoy Tour de Beach’s signature Seafood Feast catered by Lulu’s, Wintzell’s Oyster House and Doc’s Seafood Shack.
“Bike MS: Tour De Beach is perfect for cyclists of all levels. It gives cyclists and volunteers a way to support an important cause while having a great time,” Ely said.
