Buffett, Lizzo, Dead & Co. set for Oct. 8-17 Jazz Fest

Jimmy Buffett, Dead & Company, The Isley Brothers, Stevie Nicks, Foo Fighters and Lizzo will headline the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which takes place October 8-17 at the New Orleans Fair Grounds. The fest was cancelled in 2020 and postponed last spring due to Covid concerns.
Advance tickets are now on sale for both weekends of the fest to see bands such as The Black Crowes, Brandi Carlile, Jon Batiste, Demi Lovato, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, and Wu-Tang Clan feat. The Soul Rebels.
Also booked are H.E.R., Norah Jones, Tedeschi – Trucks, The Beach Boys, Ludacris, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Jon Batiste, Ziggy Marley, The Revivalists, Brittany Howard, Randy Newman, Irma Thomas, Melissa Etheridge, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Boz Scaggs, Rickie Lee Jones, Tower of Power, David Sanborn, Tank and The Bangas, Big Freedia, Chris Isaak, Keb’ Mo’ Band, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, PJ Morton, Samantha Fish, The Count Basie Orchestra, Galactic, Playing for Change Band, Terence Blanchard, Rebirth Brass Band, Shovels & Rope, Cyril Neville, and Hurray for the Riff Raff.
Asleep at the Wheel, Arturo Sandoval, Davell Crawford, El Gran Combo, Kermit Ruffins & the Barbeque Swingers, Martha Redbone Roots Project, Ricky Skaggs, Doug Kershaw, Boyfriend, Charlie Musselwhite, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, The Radiators, Anders Osborne, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Soul Rebels, Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials, Tab Benoit, and Leo Nocentelli are also scheduled to appear.
Walter Wolfman Washington & the Roadmasters, Puss N Boots, Deacon John, The Campbell Brothers, George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners, Little Freddie King, Nicholas Payton, Kathy Taylor and Favor and David Shaw will also play sets.
