Perdido Chamber hosts World Ocean Day event June 8
The Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center, along with multiple partner agencies, will present information on protecting beaches and marine habitat in conjunction with World Ocean Day on June 8 from at the Perdido Key Visitor’s Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to attend. The family event will include environmentally focused games, activities, and art projects designed to educate on the importance of protecting and preserving native plants and species that call Perdido Key home. ECUA will share information on how to keep our drinking water safe with a visit by the “Quench Buggy”. Visitors can also visit the native planting garden project located adjacent to the Visitor’s Information Center. The mini park includes interpretive signage.
