BBQ & Blues Cook-Off is March 12 at Heritage Park

The BBQ & Blues Fest & Cook-off will be held on Saturday, March 12 in Heritage Park, located at the intersection of Hwy 59 & 98 in Downtown Foley. Festival-goers will enjoy award-winning barbeque samples, popular blues bands like The Defrosters, craft and retail vendors, and children’s activities during the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation sponsored cook-off.
Admission is $10 per person, with children ages 10 and under admitted free. Over 25 backyard division cook teams from across the Gulf Coast will compete for the title and other top prizes. Competition categories are: Chicken, Ribs, Boston Butts, Sauce, Dessert, and Anything “Butt” which includes exotic items and seafood. There is also a People’s Choice award.
Food trucks will be on-site, and beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will also be for sale. And, don’t forget to purchase an official BBQ & Blues Cook-Off T-shirt while they last!
Logan Spicer, Mike Diamond, Josh Newcom and Tim Roberts will play at a kick-off event from 5-9 p.m. on March 11. Tickets for the Friday night Drawdon are $10 and include entry to the drawdown and must be purchased in advance. Tickets for Saturday’s cook-off are sold separately. All proceeds benefit the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation to support thirteen local schools through programs and partnerships that enrich education and better the community.
