Elberta Middle School FCCLA students shine at leadership competition

The Elberta Middle School Chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently attended the Alabama FCCLA State Leadership Conference and Competition. The chapter one three state awards for community service and membership increase. Additionally, fifteen students attended and competed in nine events. Students who received gold medals were Meredeth Williams, Catie Parker, Finley Loper, Zoeylynn Barnwell, Kortlyn White, Anna Schuck, Christa Tolbert. Students who received silver medals were Eva Aguilar, Delaney English, Ryleigh Fogos, Haley Burnett, Sadie Kitchens. Students who received bronze medals were Addison Cranford, Maggie Thorjusen, and McCoy Ezell. Furthermore, eleven students qualified to compete at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Denver, CO, in July (Williams, Parker, Loper, Barnwell, White, Schuck, Tolbert, Aguilar, English, Burnett, and Kitchens).
