NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship in O.B.
10 teams competing for slots in Dec. 5 title game at Sportsplex

Ten teams from across the country will are competing in Orange Beach at this week’s 39th Annual NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship. The community is invited to come out to the Orange Beach Sportsplex and cheer on the collegiate women’s soccer teams from across the country as they compete for the tourney crown. Opening round games were played at sites across the country. First round matches in Orange Beach started Nov. 29 and culminate with the championship match on Dec. 5.
Teams competing include Aquinas College (Grand Rapids, Michigan), Westmont College (Santa Barbara, California), defending champs University of Tennessee Southern (formerly Martin Methodist College), Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Prescott, Arizona), Spring Arbor University (Spring Arbor, Michigan), William Carey University (Hattiesburg), top seed Keiser University (Fort Lauderdale), second seeded Marian University (Indianapolis), University of the Cumberlands (Williamsburg, Kentucky) and Oklahoma Wesleyan University (Bartlesville). The semifinals will be played on Saturday, December 3rd at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The championship will be played on Monday, December 5 at 1:05 p.m.
This will be the 10th time in the last 11 years that Orange Beach has hosted the championship tourney, with Tennessee Southern defeating William Carey in a pentalty kick shoot-out to win last year’s title. The tourney was played at the Foley Sportsplex in 2020, with Keiser (FL) defeated William Carey 2-1 in overtime for the title.
