O.B. to repave 20 city streets, Back County Trail

Over the next few months, 20 city streets will be repaved and numerous sections of paved paths on the Backcountry Trail will be repaired as the Orange Beach City Council voted unanimously to award a low bid of $694,282.31 to Roads Inc. of NWF for the paving project. The project will also include a driveway and a small parking area at the Coastal Resources’ maintenance facility, and several locations at the Orange Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The paving is tentatively scheduled to begin by the end of October, and all finished by the end of the year
The 2019 Roadway Resurfacing Project includes the following ciuty streets: Bay Drive, Pine Road, Palmetto Drive, East Beach Boulevard, Magnolia Drive, Park Drive, Park Lane (Lake Road), Bayou Drive
Tiger Brown Avenue, South Wilson Boulevard, Mauldin Lane, Bay La Launch Avenue, Caribe Drive, Majestic Court, Lexmark Court, Lianna Court, Bradford Road, Walker Avenue, White Avenue, Sampson Avenue.
Repaving projects on the Back Country Trail include: Cotton Bayou Trail, Rosemary Dune Trail, Twin Bridges at Hidden Lake, Twin Bridges at Sportsplex Entrance, Powerline Trail, Powerline at Gulf Oak Ridge Intersection, Gulf Oak Ridge Trail.
