Ascend Performance paying employees’ kids YEA! tuition

Ascend Performance Materials of Foley is supporting the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation YEA! by paying for employees’ children to participate in the program, saving employees the $150 cost for the year. YEA! students go on multiple business field trips throughout the course of a year, visiting sites such as sports venues, food franchises and government institutions. One night a week, middle school and high school students learn what it takes to run their own business and be their own boss! For more information, visit yeausa.org. Applications for this school year are due September 30 and can be submitted online at yeausa.org or in person at the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, located at 112 W. Laurel Ave. in Foley.
The SBCF was established in 2003. Its mission is to enhance lives through programs and partnerships that enrich education, develop leaders and better the community. The foundation’s goal is for all south Baldwin County students to graduate and succeed, and its primary benefactors are Foley High School students and feeder schools.
