Toups, Niemann headline Oct. 12-15 National Shrimp Festival
Jerrod Niemann and Wayne Toups are the respective Friday and Saturday headlining musical acts during the 46th Annual National Shrimp Festival scheduled Oct. 12-15 at Gulf Shores Public Beach. As always, the more than 80 hours of musical musical acts at the fest will include Blues, Motown, Southern Rock, Jazz, Zydeco and Country. The fest begins at 10 a.m. each day and runs through 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
In addition to 300 vendors offering fine art, arts & crafts, the fest features a retail marketplace, outdoor village, children’s activity village, sand castle contest and a 10K/5K run (at the Orange Beach Sportsplex). The best of the best youth talent from Baldwin County will compete in the Shrimp Festival Singing for Scholarships program on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Of course, the fest will showcase shrimp cooked just about any way you can imagine. For more info, visit myshrimpfest.com. Pictured: Lisa Christian.
