The South Baldwin Community Theatre brings to life on stage one of Hollywood’s classic noir films – “Laura.”
Performances will be October 14, 15, 21 & 22 @ 7:30 p.m. October 16 & 23 (Sunday) @ 2:00 p.m at the South Baldwin Community Theatre, located in Gulf Shores at 2022 West 2nd Street Tickets may be purchased online at sbct.biz or call the box office (251) 968-6721.
Directed by Sparkie Harrison, this production has a fabulous cast and promises to be one of the most intriguing plays of this theatre season.
Based on the novel by (pictured) Vera Caspary, Laura Hunt was the ideal modern woman; beautiful, elegant, highly ambitious, and utterly mysterious. No man could resist her charms — not even the hardboiled NYPD detective sent to find out who turned her into a faceless corpse.
As this tough cop probes the mystery of Laura’s death, he becomes obsessed with her strange power. Soon he realises he’s been seduced by a dead woman painting and her persona. Then one night, halfway through his investigations, something seriously bizarre happens to make him re-think the whole case.
