Start your Sausage Fest Day at Weiner Dash – 5K Run/Walk/1 Mile Fun Run

In conjunction with the Sausage Fest, the Elberta Weiner Dash – 5K Run/Walk/1 Mile Fun Run will be held on Oct. 28 at 8 a.m. Race day registration and packet pick-up will be available from 6:30 – 7:45 a.m. at Elberta Middle School. The 5K race will start on Kichler Circle South. The Fun Run will start immediately after the finish of the 5K; the Fun Run will start and finish on Chicago St. Runners follow a certified 5K course through the countryside around Elberta. Register by mail (entries should be postmarked by October 21) at EVFD, PO Box 152, Elberta, AL 36530 or at local running storees until noon on October 26, or online (Events.com). Early packet pick-up will be on October 27 from 57 p.m. at the Elberta Park. Entry fee includes a race shirt. Awards, music, and food will be presented during the Elberta German Sausage Festival. Runners will receive 2 beverage tickets and 1 meal ticket.
