Bama Beach Pickleball Club hosts member dinner dance

By Sam Strite
The Bama Beach Pickleball Club recently hosted a dinner/social affair for 128 members at the Gulf Coast Music Hall. The evening included a free dinner, social hour and dancing to a DJ. This affair was a ‘give back’ to its members to celebrate the success of the Club and for the tough year and a half that its members have suffered through with Covid.
Eddie McDonald, Joni and Sandi Davino orchestrated the whole evening by renting the venue and arranging for a great lasagna dinner for the guests.
The club also recently held its annual membership meeting at the Church of Christ in Gulf Shores. The following officers were elected to the Executive Board for 2022: Eddie McDonald, Barb Nenninger, Joni Davino, Sam Strite, Billy Reeves, Marnie Whalen and Sandi Davino. As part of the meeting, the members elected to donate the profits from last year’s operations to the following charities: IMPACT 100 ($2,000); Prodisee Pantry ($1,000); Mary’s Shelter ($1,000); Angie’s Dog House ($500).
