Frozen Strawberry Dessert

1 cup flour
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 egg whites
1 cup sugar
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
2Tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
Combine first 4 ingredients in a small bowl; stir well. Press mixture in bottom of a 13x9x2-in. baking dish; set aside.Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. Let cool 10 min. crush into crumbs. Sprinkle two-thirds crumb mixture in bottom of 13x9x2-in. baking dish; set aside. Combine egg whites (at room temp.), 1 cup sugar, strawberries,and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl; beat at high speed of an electric mixer 10 min. Fold whipped cream into strawberry mixture. Spoon mixture over crumbs; top with remaining crumb mixture. Cover and freeze 8 hours or until firm. Cut into squares, and serve immediately. Yield: 12 servings.
