As we prepare for Thanksgiving, do you ever wonder what the “first” Thanksgiving was really like? This lecture will focus the history of colonial America and the challenges the early colonies presented to England.
Lecturer Dr. Marsha Hamilton is Associate Professor of History at the University of South Alabama, with a specialization in colonial America. Dr. Hamilton will discuss some of the myths we still believe about these settlements, such as our ideas about the first Thanksgiving, and what the reality was.
