G.S. Science Adventure seeks retired science teachers
Help students explore local eco-systems during field trips

Marine Science Adventures, a local company that has partnered with Gulf Shores Beach Retreat (pictured) on West Beach Blvd. in Gulf Shores, is looking for retired science teachers to work part-time helping its staff with Marine Science Adventures field trips.
“It will mainly be helping our students while we are out in the field going through the eco-systems, and it’s very active,’’ said Tim Hill, MSA/Gulf Shores Beach Retreat owner. “Most of our groups are from the 4th grade through high school. So we can take any grade teacher.”

Students will explore the beaches, lagoons, maritime forests and
marshes of Gulf Shores during hands-on lessons developed by Marine Biologist Dr. John Simpson. Students will experience seining, specimen collections, ecosystem explorations and night excursions. Each activity will expose them to the diversity of the area while allowing them to spend maximum time in the field so they can take full advantage of the natural marine wonders of the Gulf Coast.
The itinerary for the three day-two night educational adventure also includes: Loggerhead Crawl, Nest Demonstrations and Beach Walk; Night Seine in Little Lagoon; Maritime Forest Tour; Dune Ecology Field Trip To Bon Secour Wildlife Sanctuary; Tour of Fort Morgan; Marsh Exploration; Tidal Pool Seining and Alligator Alley tour.
