Margit Carter has Island Spirit

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber recently presented its Island Spirit Award for September to Margit Carter from the City of Gulf Shores Recreation Department. Megan Smith, VP of Business Development for the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, cited Carter’s dedication to her job and the Coastal Alabama area. The person who nominated Ms.
Carter had this to say about her, “Margit is very knowledgeable, personable, and an inspiration to all of her students. Area resident and snowbirds, beginners and advanced yogis are attracted to her classes. She embodies the spirit of service representative of Coastal Alabama.” The Island Spirit Award is presented monthly by the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber. It has been a tradition since the mid-1980’s. The award was designed to give recognition to individuals who make special contributions to the quality of life we enjoy in the Coastal Alabama region.
