Mikelle Maddox, M.D. Joins South Baldwin Medical Group
South Baldwin Medical Group is pleased to announce that Mikelle Maddox, M.D. has joined South Baldwin Hospitalist Group as a hospitalist. A hospitalist is a physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. She comes to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center with over 20 year’s medical experience. Dr. Maddox recently retired from the United States Air Force. She served in multiple stateside and overseas assignments, including Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. She received her medical degree in 1997 from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed her internship at the 81st Medical Group at Keesler Air Force Base and her residency at Saint Louis University. Dr. Maddox is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Maddox lives in Orange Beach with her husband Jeff Maddox, a teacher and coach at Elberta High School. They have two sons, Beau and Jay.
