Orange Beach Seafood Fest Feb. 25

The 31st Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show will return to the Wharf on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than more than 15,000 people are expected to attend the free fundraising event for the Makos Academics Arts & Athletics Club, which directly benefits Orange Beach schools.
New this year is a parade at 11 a.m. featuring entries from all Orange Beach schools. Another new twist is the Mako Mudbug Mania crawfish eating contest at noon.
Visitors can expect a full day of delicious food, 100 artists from throughout the South, and music on two stages. In addition, there is a large Kids’ Zone with activities, and a huge Main Street car show.
Plenty of parking will be availab le, with volunteers collecting donations in support of O.B. schools. Food selections will include Fried Shrimp, Alligator, Frog Legs, Oysters, Fish, Seafood Etouffee, Seafood PoBoys, Crawfish, Jambalaya, Shrimp Tacos, Red Beans & Rice, Seafood Gumbo, Crab Cakes, Crab Bites NS Seafood Nachos. Snack items will include kettle corn, old-fashioned sodas, AND boiled peanuts. Artists will be selling handmade jewelry, metal yard and garden art, beach-art inspired signs, candles, glass bird feeders, nautical décor, 3D cut glass art, clothing and specialty items.
