“Life is Short. Eat Dessert First”
Sweetest Chefs culinary event Sept. 17 at The Wharf
If you love eating desserts or watching baking shows, make plans to attend the 6th Annual Sweetest Chefs, a culinary event spotlighting America’s top pastry chefs on September 17 from 6 – 9 p.m. at The Wharf in Orange Beach. Guests will sample desserts from approximately 20 pastry chefs from around the country and vote to determine the outcome of the coveted Sweetest Chefs Awards announced live at the conclusion of the evening.
This event is open to the public, but a ticket will be required for admission. A variety of ticket options are available including VIP and early-admission. Prices range from $50 for Early-Bird General Admission tickets to $200 for one of only 40 VIP tickets. Tickets are on sale now at SweetestChefs.com.
Other features of the 2021 Sweetest Chefs weekend include: Welcome cocktail; Live baking and pastry demonstration stage; Live music; Savory food and beverage tastings; Door prizes; and optional VIP experience.
“We are excited to bring the event to the Alabama Gulf Coast this year. Not only is it a great way to celebrate these talented chefs, but a fantastic opportunity to show off the beauty of Alabama’s beaches. Previous years have brought many visitors into Mississippi to experience this unique event. Sweetest Chefs at the beach is just icing on the cake,” said Angel Lanier-White, project manager and an Orange Beach native.
Sweetest Chefs helps provide scholarship dollars for deserving culinary students at the Gulf Coast Culinary Institute at Coastal Alabama Community College. Participating chefs, restaurants and the demonstration stage lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.
Sweetest Chefs is produced by EATYALL, a Mississippi-based company that connects farmers and food makers to chefs around the globe. Event hosts are Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism and Gulf Shores|Orange Beach Sports & Events in partnership with The Wharf. For more information, visit SweetestChefs.
