Bad Seed continues Oct. 8-10 at South Baldwin Theatre; Auditions for Neil Simon’s God’s Favorite start on Oct. 9

South Baldwin Community Theatre’s production of “Bad Seed” continues October 8-10, with Friday and Saturday shows set tostart at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available at sbct.biz and are priced at $15 for students and $18 for adults.

The dramatization of William March’s novel includes the following cast members: Rhoda Penmark – Anne Russell West; Christine Penmark- Jessica Jackson; Col. Kenneth Penmark- Ronnie Jackson; Monica Breedlove- Liz Reed; Emory Breedlove – Kyle McCartney; Leroy – Don Roberts; Miss Fern – Paula Dumas; Regina Tasker – Ashley Nowling; Mrs. Daigle – Sharon Watson; Mr. Daigle – Dominic DeMonico; Richard Bravo – Bill Groves.
The Bad Seed tells the story of Rhoda Penmark, an excellent student and talented pianist. She is tidy, mannerly and a delight to her loving parents, friends, and neighbors, but there is a darkness hiding behind the beautiful facade. And it is revealed during the bone-chilling and heartbreaking psychological drama unfolds on our stage. Discretion is advised, as the content includes adult themes, murder, violence, and suicide. Auditions for the January production of Neil Simon’s God’s Favorite will be held Oct. 9 at noon and Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Performances are Jan 6-16. SBCT is also producing a Christmas show, Wingbeat, with auditions scheduled Oct. 16 at noon and Oct 18 at 6 p.m. Performances are Dec. 11 & 12.

The Baldwin Pops: Fall Reflections Concert set for Oct. 17 at Coastal Arts Center
The Baldwin Pops: Fall Reflections Concert will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 17th at the Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach courtyard, 26389 Canal Road.

Bring blankets, lawn chairs, picnics and favorite beverages. Tablecloth prize will be awarded for best table or picnic setup.

The concert is brought to you free of charge by the City of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism.
