Fairhope makes a splash in N.Y. Times, Southern Living

The City of Fairhope received significant positive nationwide press on two fronts in March. Early in the month, the New York Times released “A Southern Town That’s Been Holding On To Its Charm, For More Than a Century.” From tracing the city’s history as an experimental utopian community to lauding the creativity of its citizens and natural beauty, the impressive piece was met with widespread praise by citizens, visitors and fans of Fairhope.
In mid-March, Southern Living unveiled their April 2019 cover (pictured) which features Fairhope. The city is also included in “The South’s Best Small Towns 2019,” an honor achieved from a combination of Fairhope’s natural resources, architecture and charm.
“It’s no secret that Fairhope is awesome, and these incredible spotlights the national press is shining on us help showcase this to a much bigger audience,” said Fairhope Mayor Karin Wilson.
“We are excited to open our arms to visitors who want to experience Fairhope for themselves.”
