Free Aug. 25 Purely Paddle Kayak Adventure at Mo’s Landing
Gulf Shores sponsored event includes geocache treasure hunt
The City of Gulf Shores Recreation Department is pleased to announce a new, exciting event coming to Gulf Shores on Saturday, August 25. Locals and visitors are invited to join us for “Purely Paddle” at Mo’s Landing, which is located at 18068 Fort Morgan Road.
Purely Paddle will feature a family-friendly kayak adventure, including leisure paddling, a geocache treasure hunt and some really cool prizes. The event will kick off at 4 p.m. and last until 7 p.m. Food and refreshments will be provided. “The City of Gulf Shores Recreation Department is excited to work in collaboration with Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge to administer this event for our community,” Recreation Manager Nicole Ard said. “Purely Paddle is a great opportunity for you and your family to enjoy a few hours of relaxing quality time mixed with a touch of thrill.” Admission for Purely Paddle is free to those who bring their own kayak or $10 if you choose to rent a kayak. There are limited kayaks available. To ensure a spot, please pre-register at the Bodenhamer Recreation Center or Cultural Center.
