November’s Blue Angels Homecoming Show cancelled

This November’s Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show at Naval Air Station Pensacola is the latest major Gulf Coast annual event to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The show, which typically concludes the team’s season, draws as many as 180,000 fans, and more than 1,000 boaters. The 2021 Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show is scheduled Nov. 5-6 and will double as the 75th anniversary celebration of the Blue Angels.
After considering every possibility, cancelling the show was deemed the most responsible course of action to protect the health and safety of the community and NAS Pensacola personnel, posted NAS Pensacola Commander Tim Kinsella on facebook.
“This was an extremely difficult decision in challenging times, but in the end, we must remember that our top priority is to ensure the safety of our community,” read the post.
